Avanti, the company hoping to launch the first crypto bank in the U.S., has secured $5 million from investors, CEO Caitlin Long told Coindesk.

The bank submitted the first draft of its charter application to the Wyoming Division of Banking last week, a process which will be funded through the $5 million investment. Long plans to open for business in 2021, however she added that more capital will be needed to get up and running.
