According to CoinDesk, Senator Tim Scott, chairman of the Senate Banking Committee, stated at a blockchain summit in Washington DC that substantial progress is being made behind the scenes on the previously stalled crypto market structure bill, with the first draft related to stablecoin yields expected to be released this week.

Scott noted that the issue of stablecoin yields is the most discussed topic in the bill, with Democratic Senator Angela Alsobrooks, Republican Senator Thom Tillis, and White House official Patrick Witt actively working towards a resolution.

Regarding other unresolved issues, Scott revealed that several disagreements have entered the negotiation phase in the past month, including ethical concerns related to former President Trump and his family's crypto projects, the lack of bipartisan committee seats in key regulatory agencies, and DeFi regulation and anti-money laundering (AML) compliance requirements. Scott stated that progress is being made on these issues, with an overall positive outlook.
