Iranian Foreign Ministry Clarifies Principles of Passage in the Strait of Hormuz

According to Jinshi's report, the Iranian Foreign Ministry issued a statement on the 22nd, stating that the Strait of Hormuz is not blocked, and ships can continue to navigate through the waterway while complying with necessary measures taken due to the war situation. The statement also outlined Iran's principles regarding navigation and safety in the Strait of Hormuz. The statement mentioned that ships belonging to the US, Israel, and other aggressor countries do not meet the conditions for normal and non-hostile passage, and Iran will handle them according to the law. Ships from other countries or those associated with them, as long as they are not involved in or cooperating with aggression against Iran, and comply with Iran's safety regulations and measures, can safely pass through the Strait of Hormuz after coordinating with Iran's competent authorities. The statement emphasized the need to fully restore sustainable security and stability in the Strait of Hormuz, calling for an end to military aggression and threats against Iran, as well as halting actions by the US and Israel that undermine Iran's stability, while demanding full respect for Iran's legitimate interests.
