The Reserve Bank of Malawi (RBM) is warning people that cryptocurrencies are not legal currency and should in no way be used in place of the Malawi Kwacha, according to CCN. There has been a large increase in crypto trading in Malawi, with this the amount inquiries on whether the cryptos will be accepted is increasing. The Governor Dr. Dalitso Kabambe has been steadfast in his approach that the central bank will not recognize cryptocurrencies.
