On June 3, the U.S. Department of Transportation announced its plan to ban Chinese carriers into the U.S., starting in mid-June, as Beijing did not permit U.S. flights to enter China since services suspended earlier this year because of coronavirus.
China's Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Office tweeted on Thursday, "China's Civil Aviation Administration has been in close communication with U.S. Department of Transportation and announced policy adjustments."
