Moscow will utilize blockchain technology to ensure the anonymity and security of their e-voting system, according to a release from the Moscow Mayor's Office.

Citizen's will vote on Constitutional amendments from June 25 to June 30 and can begin registering for the service on June 5. The announcement did not provide details of the blockchain technology or name a company involved in it's implementation.

The announcement highlighted that the new system will be nearly impossible to hack.

"The voice itself is anonymized and encrypted," the announcement reads. "There are two encryption keys: one is located at the user, and the second is divided into several parts and is stored by different participants until the end of the vote."
