Self-named privacy coins Zcash and Dash can now be tracked by law enforcement using blockchain analysis company Chainanalysis, according to a blog post on Monday, June 8.

Chainanalysis says the company can track the transactions because clients do not use privacy features. The post added that Dash being labeled a privacy coin is a "misnomer."

The agreement between Dash and Chainanalysis illustrates that in the rush towards mass adoption, cryptocurrencies may lose the support of users whose priority is privacy.
