A survey from financial services company Fidelity Investments found that over a third of large institutional investors own crypto assets, per Bloomberg.

The survey covered 774 participators in Europe and the U.S. Among them, 36% admitted having cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin or derivatives. The percentage in the U.S. alone amounts to 27%, a 5% increase from last year. Among the participants, more than 15% of them hold Bitcoin, whereas 11% hold Ethereum, the second-largest cryptocurrency by market cap.

“These results confirm a trend we are seeing in the market towards greater interest in and acceptance of digital assets as a new investable asset class,” said Tom Jessop, president of Fidelity Digital Assets.
