Litecoin released new major version Litecoin Core 0.18.1, including new features, various bugfixes and performance improvements, as well as updated translations. It is recommended for all users to upgrade to this version.
If users are running an older version, shut it down. Wait until it has completely shut down (which might take a few minutes for older versions), then run the installer (on Windows) or just copy over /Applications/Litecoin-Qt (on Mac) or litecoind/litecoin-qt (on Linux).
