Elon Musk wrote “lol” in his tweet, and one reply commented, “Ok you know it’s unfair, tell us what happened.” Musk responded by “Stonks.” This should have been an intentional misspelling of “stocks” since Musk further added a picture to the thread, which featured an upswing in the stock market with the word “stonks.”
This is not the first time Musk acts counter to Tesla’s stocks. Per Bitpush.news, on May 1, Elon Musk tweeted, “Tesla stock price is too high imo” and Tesla’s stock price closed with a decrease of about $60 per share.
It is hard to infer how Musk’s “lol” tweet influenced the vehicle manufacturer’s stock price since the market plunged as a whole on Wednesday.
