YouTube had closed the account of Bitcoin.com, a cryptocurrency news website due to “a violation of YouTube’s Terms of Service.”

Executive chairman of Bitcoin.com, Roger Ver, shot a video and uploaded it to Reddit where he said some Bitcoin maximalists might have reported the website’s video as “Bit Cash Scam.”

Ver stated that there are a lot of “real” scams on YouTube, which hoax viewers into sending BTC, and it “seems like the right time to start exploring other options.”

Update: YouTube has restored the channel as of 1 p.m. EST. The channel now has 40.1K followers.
