An Israeli Software company paid a $250,000 BTC ransom after a ransomware attack that could have shut down the company's systems, as reported by Calcalist.

The company, Sapiens International Corp. N.V., didn't report the ransom payment to the securities' regulators in Israel or in the United States where the company is listed on the Nasdaq.

The hackers are unknown, but the company speculates that they took advantage of security weaknesses during the transition to remote work in the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic at some point between March and April.
