SamungSouth Korean multinational conglomerate, has filed a patent for a programmable blockchain solid state drive and switch.   In a report from September 2, 2019, it was reported that Samsung had applied for the patent on January 15, 2019 and it was published on Febuary 2, 2019. Though details to blueprints of the program are limited, it said that the blockchain program will focus on improving speed and lifespan of blockchain-aware stroage devices.
