Cybersecurity vendor Cyfirma released a study on Thursday, June 18 warning that Lazarus — a North Korean hacker group  will launch a phishing campaign across six countries in the coming days.

The study claims that the hackers will pose as government authorities offering COVID-19 resources. They will send individuals emails directing them to websites which will trick them into entering personal information. Countries targeted include the United States, Singapore, India, the United Kingdom and Korea. 

North Korean hackers have historically sought cryptocurrency payments. Cyfirma began researching the threat on Monday, June 1.
