A report released on Tuesday, June 30 by the Financial Conduct Authority revealed that the number of people who have owned cryptocurrencies in the UK has increased by 1 million over the course of 2019.

Currently, 1.9 million people in the UK own cryptocurrencies, comprising almost 4% of the country's population. The number of people who have owned cryptocurrencies grew to 2.6 million this year, up from 1.5 million in 2019.

The survey also revealed that the percentage of people who had heard of cryptocurrencies has increased to 73%, a 31% jump from last year.
