Bitpay, the blockchain payment provider is adding support now for XRP before the end of 2019. XRP is the worlds third largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, according to Yahoo Finance.
This will now allow users on the site to accept and support XRP. This adds to the ever growing number of coins Bitpay has added to their repertoire these past couple months. XRP joins the likes of support for ether (ETH) cryptocurrency. The firm also supports payments in bitcoin (BTC) and bitcoin cash (BCH), as well as three stablecoins - Circle and Coinbase-led USD Coin (USDC), Gemini Dollar (GUSD), and Paxos Standard Token (PAX) on the platform.
