Ripple is trending on Twitter in New York as over 3,000 tweets have flooded the Ripple hashtag.

At the time of publication 3,312 tweets are live on the hashtag. Most of the tweets are from accounts with little to no followers advertising a Ripple giveaway from CEO Brad Garlinghouse. The tweets appear to be a part of another giveaway scam, but it is unclear whether it is connected with the Twitter hack on Wednesday, July 15.
