Four major institutions have joined South Korea’s decentralized identity movement, which is attempting to secure and share personal information using blockchain, according to a report from CoinDesk Korea.

The program, which was first released in July, is now officially named the Initial DID Association. The four companies joining are two important banks Shinhan and NH Nonghyup as well as two major payment processors BC Card and Hyundai Card. These four new companies bring the total members of the association to 11.
