Bitfinex has filed a Subpoena to a U.S. court in an attempt to regain $880 million in funds that were frozen in multiple countries, according to CoinTelegraph.

Bitfinex Chief Financial Officer Giancarlo Devasini confirmed that the company submitted the filing on Oct. 18, with the Southern California District Court for permission to take the deposition of Rondell “Rhon” Clyde Monroe. Monroe is the former vice president of TCA Bancorp and is believed to have information and documents vital to Bitfinex’s claims to over $850 million of their frozen funds.
