Mainframe Acquires Sablier To Relaunch The DeFi Bond System

After acquiring the Ethereum-based protocol Sablier, blockchain firm Mainframe today announced its plan to integrate Sablier’s money streaming technology into a fixed-rate lending protocol and create tokenized debt markets. 

As the announcement stated, Mainframe’s novel zero-coupon bond system enables borrowers to offload debt and increase their purchasing power. Specifically, borrowers deposit collateral and mint tokens as a debt obligation, while lenders purchase tokenized debt obligation and ransom them for face value at maturity.
