Ripple, the blockchain payments technology provider, has opened up their new office in the capital of the U.S. to help educated policymakers on how beneficial the technology can be.

The new office comes hand in hand with Ripple’s current process of expanding its global regulatory team. This global regulatory team expansion has added some big names in Craig Phillips, Susan Friedman and Ron Hammond.

Craig Phillips is the former top aide to U.S. Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin. Phillips will serve on Ripple’s board of directors to add “depth” to its policy leadership team and to advise on “strategic regulatory opportunities” while the company grows.

Susan Friendman is a former senior advisor to CTFC chairman Heath Tarbert when he was assistant secretary for International Markets at the treasury.

Ron Hammond is the former legislative assistant to Rep. Warren Davidson, leader of the Token Taxonomy draft.
