The Japan Security Token Offering Association (JSTOA) announced on Monday the “supporting member” stance of Huobi’s Japanese branch, along with the joining of Zaif, FXCoin and 8 other local crypto players, as reported by Cointelegraph.

Huobi Japan CEO Haiteng Cheng stated that Huobi hasn’t obtained a “full membership” yet due to the lack of a Finance 1 license. Regardless, the association means that Huobi Japan is now part of the local self-regulatory body, able to support the development of security token offerings.
