CoinMarketCap, the popular crypto data site, appears to be offline at about 10 a.m. on August 13. The website’s response significantly slowed in past hours. According to released data, the API response time slowed to 933ms at 9:35 a.m, compare to an average of approximately 30ms in usual times.
Services on the site, including exchange data feeds and news aggregator service appear to be shutting offline. CoinMarketCap says it’s currently investigating the issue. A denial-of-service attack is one of the possible reasons.
