The company is now trying to develop tools to help developers create applications to run on Ripple's blockchain. Chief Executive Brad Garlinghouse told The Financial Times that the he hopes the move will make Ripple a broad blockchain platform analogous to how Amazon has become an all-consuming ecommerce platform.
