Crypto exchange ShapeShift is suing its former senior engineer Azamat Mukhiddinov in Colorado Federal District Court claiming he stole $900,000 worth of Bitcoin, according to court documents.

ShapeShift is requesting trial by jury on charges that Mukhiddinov stole 90 Bitcoin using malicious code he allegedly installed on the exchange's servers. 

The documents state that Mukhiddinov had already returned the stolen funds, but the company wants $5,000 in damages for the time it took for exchange employees to clean the servers of harmful code.
