The Commodities and Futures Trading Commission issued an order on Monday August, 31 reinstating TeraExchange LLC. as a swap execution facility, according to a recent statement. 

In May 2016, the company had been granted full registration to offer Bitcoin forwards contracts and a Bitcoin price index. In the three years following TeraExchange's registration as a swap execution facility the CFTC saw no trading activity and deemed the company dormant in 2019.

There 19 swap execution facilities registered with the CFTC, including the newly reinstated TeraExchange.
