A new malware attack targets Windows users through three methods in a new attack dubbed "KryptoCibule" by cybersecurity researchers at ESET.

The three prongs of the attack include installing a crypto mining app, stealing crypto wallet files and replacing wallet addresses to hijack transactions.

The attackers rely on Tor and BitTorrent for KryptoCibule coordination. Victims are often downloading infected Tor files through file-sharing site Uloz. The malware first appeared in December 2018, but makes extensive use of anti-dectection techniques which have allowed it to fly under the radar.
