India’s government is ready to embrace blockchain because of the new national strategy focused on the emergent technology.
Sanjay Dhotre, minister of state for electronics and information technology in the government of India, stated that a “National Level Blockchain Framework is being prepared” seeing the technology’s capabilities and various uses. India’s Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has already begun working on a blockchain-based Proof of Existence (PoE) framework to use for authenticating academic certificates, sale deeds, and other documents.
