Switzerland’s federal government is passing a revised plan to parliament to get rid of the legal hurdles that are slowing up innovation based on blockchain and distributed ledger technology.

On Nov. 27, the Federal Council approved a proposal to adapt legislative framework to better suit the emerging technology. The new legislation proposes amendments to nine federal acts across civil and financial market law, according to the announcement.
