According to The House Committee on Energy and Commerce, two blockchain proposals: Blockchain Innovation Act, part of the Digital Taxonomy Act, were added into a broader Consumer Safety Technology Act and have been transferred to the House of Representatives.

In this proposal, blockchain technology is included in the list of emerging technologies like AI, the U.S. Department of Commerce (DoC), and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) will be responsible for the identification of any potential consumer risks.
