A panel of the United States top financial regulators including names like Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin and Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell have implored federal and state officials to monitor risks from digital assets like Bitcoin.

The recommendation came in the annual report published on Dec, 4, by the Financial Stability Oversight Council, which was set up after 2008 to identify emerging risks that could cause a new banking crisis.
