According to Forbes, Jean-Sébastien Jacques, the CEO of the world's second-largest mining firm Rio Tinto, will step down from the mining giant in March 2021 after the company destroys two 46,000-year-old Sacred Indigenous Site in Australia.

Along with Jacques, Two other executives are also stepping down at the end of 2020: the head of the iron ore business Chris Salisbury, the group executive for corporate relations Simone Niven. 

The destruction of Juukan Gorge caves which were considered as Sacred Indigenous Site happened early this year, while the local custodians of the land went on a seven-year battle to protect the site.
