Federal Judge Laurel Beeler is currently holding an emergency public hearing to discuss President Trump's executive order to ban popular Chinese messaging app WeChat and social media platform TikTok.

Judge Beeler said a proposed lawsuit to block the executive order is now moot since the administration has moved to enforce the order, but she did make herself available for an emergency public hearing.

Judge Beeler met virtually with nine lawmakers to discuss the order and explore injunction options. The ban will prevent U.S. citizens from downloading WeChat and TikTok starting on Sunday, September 20.
