Blockchain platform Kadena has announced plans to launch a new multi-chain decentralized exchange in an effort to promote the company's blockchain and join in the current DeFi movement, according to a recent announcement.

The new DEX, Kadenaswap, will allow DeFi users to avoid Ethereum's high gas fees and network congestion by utilizing Kadena's multi-chain scalability. The release added that moving DeFi off Etheruem would allow non-DeFi projects to continue operating without being suffocated.

The announcement claims that Kadenaswap will be able to process 480,000 transactions per second on the Kadena blockchain which launched in January of this year. The decentralized exchange was announced on Tuesday, September 29 and is scheduled to launch by the end of 2020.
