The U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS) granted two $625,000 contracts to Chainanalysis and Integra FEC for tracing tools for Monero and layer 2 protocols, according to the IRS website. 

The agency first announced its search for analytics software for cryptocurrencies — including privacy coins like Monero — at the start of the month. Chainanalysis is well known in the crypto space for its analytics tools, while Texas-based Integra FEC is relatively unknown.
