Galaxy will offer services including capital markets advisory and liquidity services which could help miners convert their Bitcoin to fiat in order to expand their businesses. Galaxy plans to help expand the North American mining sector through this new project.
U.S. mining operations can have a difficult time investors and purchasing mining equipment while Asian companies like Bitmain dominate. The Cambridge Center for Alternative Finance estimating only 12% of mining hardware is being sold to North American miners.
