Miners have signaled distrust and disapproval of the new Etheruem Improvement Proposal 1559 with seven of nine mining projects surveyed saying they would not implement the proposal if it were included in a future hard fork.

The proposal swaps Etheruem's bid-based transaction market for a set fee with a small tip for miners. The proposal was designed to regulate Ethereum fees and gained popularity over summer months as transaction costs grew unwieldy.

42% of respondents expressed either positive or negative feelings towards the proposal while the remaining 58% carried no opinion at all. Miners overwhelmingly felt negatively towards the proposal as limiting the range of fees would cap their commissions.
