At the 2020 Consumer Electronics Show IBM and Farmer Connect, an organization committed to increasing transparency and sustainability in agriculture supply chains, announced a new blockchain-based app designed teach consumers about the coffee beans they purchase.

According to a post from IBM the app dubbed “Thank My Farmer” will allow users to trace their coffee to understand its quality and origin. The app utilizes the IBM Blockchain to increase traceability, efficiency and fairness in the coffee supply chain.
