ConsenSys has announced a partnership with Protocol Labs to integrate the new Filecoin project with the Ethereum blockchain, according to a recent announcement.

The highly anticipated Filecoin system launched on Thursday, October 15. Filecoin allows users to pay or provide decentralized storage for the FIL token. ConsenSys will work to connect Filecoin with aspects of decentralized technology including Metamask, DeFi protocols, Web 3.0 portal Metamask and other ConsenSys projects.

ConsensSys has provided support to the Filecoin team throughout the development process including conducting an audit which identified vulnerabilities in the software prior to launch. ConsenSys plans to continue providing support so that developers can count on IPSF and Filecoin for their storage needs.
