According to Dune Analytics data, the monthly trading volume of decentralized exchanges has declined for the first time since April 2020. After doubling continuously from July to September, the total trading volume in October fell to $19.4 billion, which was a 25% decrease compared with $25.8 billion in September.

The transaction volume of two popular DEX: SushiSwap and Serum, dropped by more than 60% In October. Nevertheless, Messari's decentralized financial analyst Jack Purdy said that the decline in DeFi transaction volume is expected, and he is still optimistic about the long-term potential of the DeFi protocol.
