AMBcrypto states, after it's announcement to launch the Libra, Facebook initiated talks about a central backed digital currency (CBDC) with China leading the race. Reports range in opinions stating that central banks are the future for digital money because they provide benefits like cheaper cross border remittance and innovation in retail markets.
