12.5 percent of all block rewards will go towards a Hong Kong entity, say Bitcoin Cash CEOs. The funds will promote Bitcoin Cash development which miners say would be a better alternative than having independent corporate donors (Coin Telegraph).

The funding will be activated this May, based on current price, the revenue would be approximately $6 million; the majority of BCH's hashrate will be from miners. Miners who do not comply will go through orphaning blocks or have blocks removed from the chain, similar to a 51% attack. Many voiced their concerns that this process will bring centralization and believe there will be Chinese government interference.
