Using blockchain technology, Alethea AI tech firm claims they can fight "deepfakes." A deepfake is a malicious video of people, like celebrities or politicians, that look very realistic (Yahoo Finance). 

Alethea AI plans on educating the public and encouraging users to create synthetic content by creating a digital copy of themselves. All videos generated by Alethea Al's technology will feature disclaimers and watermarks to show that they have been digitally altered. Prominent people will ensure that AI generated media of them is through their permission since they will now own the rights to the AI models that have their face and voice.
