On Wednesday American Airlines followed in the footsteps of their rival United and suspended some of their service to China as the coronavirus continues to spread and demands drop for those routes.
The Fort Worth, Texas-based carrier has canceled their flight from Los Angeles to Shanghai and to Beijing from Feb. 9 through March 27. However, American Airlines will continue to operate their China services from Dallas-Fort Worth and from Los Angeles to Hong Kong in that period. American stated that they will contact customers affected by the change directly, on either email or telephone.
