Liquid exchange announced details of the platform's hack last Friday which exposed customers' personal information possibly including names, addresses and encrypted passwords in a recent tweet

The exchange noted that it had regained control of the platform and reviewed its infrastructure, highlighting that client funds are accounted for and safe. Liquid CEO Mike Kayamori outlined in a blog post that the hackers on November 13 took control of Liquid's domain names after hacking its domain name hosting provider.

The hacker could then gain control over email addresses and partially compromise the exchange's infrastructure while gaining access to document storage, Kayamori noted. While client funds have been secured, personal information including passwords may have been leaked.
