Twitter has released a new Bitcoin-branded hashtag, as founder Jack Dorsey called for the Bitcoin hashtag to become a universal web standard.
On Sunday Dorsey announced that a Bitcoin symbol as an emoji, would be appearing automatically after the use of either "#bitcoin" or "#btc".
In the tweet Dorsey also tags Unicode’s twitter account. With Unicode being the computer text and emoji standard for the internet, It is believed that Dorsey was pushing for the administrating consortium to introduce an emoji that can be used across all web platforms.
