According to an official announcement, Coinbase Pro disables margin trading in response to the new guidance of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, only 9 months after the product is relaunched in February.

Starting at 2 pm PT on November 25th, customers will not be able to conduct new margin transactions. Any open limit orders will also be canceled at the same time. After all existing margin positions expire in December, margin products will be fully offline.
