An Amazon Web Services are currently expieriencing an outage which has taken out many of the apps and websites that rely on the tech giant.

Amazon updated its status page early Wednesday explaining that web services were experiencing problems. A number of companies that rely on AWS have tweeted out that they’re experiencing issues as a result, including Adobe, Roku and Adobe Spark.

The crypto communtiy quickly took the opportunity to advertise decentralized web services which would prevent centralized crashes pulling down a swath of apps like happened today. The CEO of Dfinity, a blockchain-based cloud computing company, Dominic Williams tweeted out that since smart contracts do not live in one data center an outage like the one brought on by Amazon Web Services being down could not happen.
Williams went on to say that the coming "internet computer blockchain" will address hyperscale data center fragility in the coming years.
