After a day of volatile price movements for Bitcoin the number of unique addresses holding more that 1 BTC has exceeded 650,000, according to data compiled by Yellow Block.

Earlier on Tuesday Bitcoin saw its price reach as high as $19,845 before crashing down to $18,495. At the time of writing Bitcoin has recovered slightly and is trading hands at $19,085, according to data from Coinmarketcap.

The rise in unique addresses holding more than 1 BTC despite the volatility suggests that many traders are hopeful that Bitcoin's price will continue on an upwards trajectory.
