Ethereum active supply has just reached a 16-month high of 7,323,341 ETH, according to data from Glassnode.

The previous 16-month active supply high of 7,293,521 ETH was observed on August 10, 2019. The milestone comes the day after the launch of Etheruem 2.0's Beacon Chain which signals the start of the network's shift to a proof-of-stake instead of a proof-of-work consensus mechanism.

Ethereum 2.0 promises to build a robust network for decentralized applications. The increased active supply observed today is likely in response to the Beacon Chain's launch.
